Funding Sources

The South West Development Commission can help South West organisations seek funding for projects from a variety of sources, both government and non-government.

A number of grants programs that can assist communities, local governments, businesses and individuals are available from the State and Federal governments, as well as private sector organisations.

Regional New Industries Fund

The State Government's Regional New Industries Fund, will allocate $4.5 million across the nine regions of Western Australia to support venture creation, accelerate small-medium enterprise growth and seed innovation initiatives.

Free business advice

Expert business advice is also offered to businesses in the South West with less than 20 employees by IPS Business Advisory Service. This is a free service.

Tourism WA's Regional Events Scheme

Funding for regional events is available through Tourism WA's Regional Events Scheme, which is jointly funded by Tourism WA and Royalties for Regions. The scheme is designed to assist with the development of events as tourist attractions within regional Western Australia.
