Have your say and help transform Casuarina Drive

Wednesday, 3 October 2018

Members of the community have the chance to shape what Casuarina Drive will look like in the future by sharing their ideas through a survey.

Under the guidance of the Bunbury Development Committee, a number of oganisations including LandCorp, the South West Development Commission and the City of Bunbury are working together to redevelop Casuarina Drive to address the needs of the community – and want your input.

BDC chair Robyn Fenech said it was important the Casuarina Drive redevelopment reflected the values of local residents and recreational users.

“We want insight and ideas from the community, so we encourage you to complete the online survey,” Ms Fenech said.

“Information and suggestions will help shape the initial landscape design concept.”

Funded by the State Government, the Casuarina Drive redevelopment is part of stage two of Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront project.

With the aim of revitalising the precinct and offering new modern public amenity, enhancements are set to include formalised parking at BP Beach, improved pedestrian and cycling links, enhanced landscaping and new social spaces for picnicking, barbequing and playing.

The survey opened on Wednesday September 26 2018 and will close at 12 noon on Wednesday October 10 2018.
