SWDC is an agency of the Government of Western Australia, with offices in Bunbury, Collie and Manjimup.
The Commission was established as a Statutory Authority under the Regional Development Commission Act, 1993. It is one of nine development commissions under this Act, each serving a different region of Western Australia.
Our role is to foster the economic and social development of the South West of Western Australia. We work in partnership with other government agencies, business, industry and community groups to ensure the region develops in a positive and sustainable way. Find out more about what we do.
SWDC reports to the Minister for Regional Development.
