“These innovations are already reshaping industries and improving lives, and I’ve seen many first-hand: from inclusive technologies we work on that give people new ways to communicate, create and work, to drones assisting in agriculture, to AI-powered conservation protecting some of the most majestic animals on the planet… like the Siberian tiger!”
Dr Nguyen will share further insights at this year’s Innovative Industries of the Future Conference, which will take place in Western Australia’s South West, in the regional capital of Bunbury over 27 and 28 October.
Dr Nguyen is making a positive impact through designing life-changing technologies to transform the lives of people with disabilities and the elderly. He does so through his role as founder of Psykinetic, a social business committed to bringing positive, sustainable and life-altering change.
Dr Nguyen and his team have successfully created a mind-controlled wheelchair, numerous Virtual and Augmented reality applications, inclusive gaming, and an instrument that enabled a friend with cerebral palsy to perform live music with her eye movements and blinks. They have also developed devices that make it possible to control household appliances or even drive cars using only the tiny electrical signals created from eye movements.
He shares his adventures through documentaries across the world. Author of the book ‘A Human’s Guide to the Future’, Jordan is also an award-winning documentary maker and presenter.
Dr Nguyen will share further insights at the Innovative Industries of the Future Conference, which will take place in Bunbury over 27 and 28 October.
With the theme “From innovation to impact: Driving transformation and industry opportunities in regional hubs and communities”, IIF will feature keynotes and distinguished speakers, more networking during the conference, four concurrent sessions after lunch, industry tours the day before the conference, and more.
