More chocolate to be made in Margaret River as local favourite sweetens operations

Fans of the Margaret River Chocolate Company will notice a larger production area behind the glass of the well-known “chocolate window”.

The business recently expanded at its Margaret River site with assistance from a Regional Economic Development (RED) Grant.

This is good news for chocolate lovers, with the factory set to make more of its popular products in the South West – creating more local jobs.

Construction was completed at the end of June with an extension doubling the size of the existing manufacturing area. As part of this expansion, new equipment has been brought online.

The cafe alfresco dining area has also been extended to accommodate more customers on the deck.

Opened in 1999, the popular attraction was allocated funding of $85,000 towards expansion plans at its Margaret River site through Round 6 of the WA Government funding program.
