It’s a new era for the South West Development Commission, following a realignment that supports the delivery of our Strategic Plan 2025-2028. As a result, you may notice new team names and jobs titles when working with us.
SWDC now has five directorates that will support our purpose: to make a positive difference in driving sustainable growth across our diverse industries and unique communities.
These five directorates are led by directors, working under the leadership of CEO Cate Brooks.
- Industry and Innovation: Led by Pip Kirby, Director
- Leads industry development, investment and innovation
- People and Place: Led by Steve De Meillon, Director
- Supports the activation of place and capability of our people and community
- Strategic Infrastructure and Lands: Led by Ashley Clements, Director
- Supports enabling infrastructure, sustainability, and delivery of key Government projects
- Grants and Engagement: Led by Allison Christou, Director
- Delivers through stakeholder engagement, grants, and events
- Supports the SWDC activities in the creative sector
- Executive and Corporate Services
- Provides support to the Executive team and corporate services functions of the SWDC
