Waterfront set to offer further work opportunities

The Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront project is reshaping Bunbury’s coastline into a vibrant, accessible, and economically thriving precinct. Led by the South West Development Commission in partnership with the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI), DevelopmentWA, the City of Bunbury and the Southern Ports Authority, the multi-stage initiative is unlocking new opportunities for marine services, tourism, and community use.

The Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront project continues to move ahead – and that means further opportunities for local contractors to get involved in this landmark project.

With a demonstrated track record for including opportunities for local businesses to be involved in shaping Bunbury’s waterfront, we have continued to keep local contractors and suppliers informed about future works.

We recently teamed up with the Department of Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure to hold an information session outlining upcoming potential works packages.

The work opportunities highlighted relate to next phase of this landmark project that is reshaping Bunbury’s waterfront and unlocking opportunities – both during construction and ongoing.

The information session at the Bunbury Chamber of Commerce and Industries provided a valuable opportunity for local businesses, contractors, and suppliers to learn more about the WA Government’s Local Content Adviser Program, upcoming opportunities and how to get involved.

Stage 3 is now underway, delivered by DTMI, and there are still opportunities for local businesses, contractors, and suppliers to get involved.
